Luther "L.H." Jenkins

Martinez, GA- Luther "L.H." Jenkins, 75, entered into rest Friday, July 06, 2012 at the VA Hospital Downtown Division, Augusta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. L.H. was preceded in death by his parents, Will C. Jenkins "Bish" and Thelma Bassett Jenkins, and a son, Kevin Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Mary Lou Jones Jenkins; 3 children, Valarie Fisher, Kathi Hicks, and David McConnell; 4 grandchildren, Tabitha Boyd, Joshua Young, Mark Fisher, and Chelsea Bare; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jimmy Jenkins, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday July 8 from 1:00pm -2:45pm at the funeral home.

The funeral will be Sunday July 8 at 3:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Brenda Tatum will officiate. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jenkins, Jr., Jay Jenkins, Jimmy Hicks, Robert Bare, Wayne Herring, and Wayne Buxton.
