Sardis, GA - Lottie Leetrell Johnson Waters, 91, entered into rest on Monday, April 20, 2009, at Burke Medical Center, Waynesboro.She was born in Liberty County, GA on December 1, 1917 to the late William Ellis Johnson and Helen Harriett Rebecca Clark Johnson.She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Waters, and her son, Ernest L. Johnson, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Richard Waters of Waynesboro; her sister, Virginia Cain of Rincon; her grandchildren, Kathy Waters (Wayne) of Twin City and Ernest Johnson, Jr. (June) of Sardis; her great-grandchildren, Maria Brown of Windsor, SC, April McCormick of Edgefield, SC, Christopher Parrish of Hephzibah, Heather Parrish of Sardis, Ray Johnson of Sardis, and Amanda Johnson of Sardis; 11 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at East Burke Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Trent officiating.Interment will follow at St. Marks Cemetery, Sardis.Pallbearers will be James Tobias, Sr., James Tobias, Jr., Dondi McCormick, Matt Crooms, Ray Johnson, and Christopher Parrish.

Flowers are being accepted; however, the family suggests that memorials be made to East Burke Baptist Church, 6564 GA Hwy 24 S, Sardis, GA30456.
