Lonnie Chavous

November 17, 1936 — January 26, 2021

Lonnie Chavous, 84, entered into rest Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was a native of Burke County and a longtime resident of Richmond County. He retired from King Mill in Augusta.

He is survived by three children, Connie Williamson, Donnie Royal, and Mary Beth Chavous all of Waynesboro; an honorary daughter, Debra Rumble of Gloverville; three grandchildren, Michele Flake, Donnie Royal, Jr., and Jennifer Yates; six sisters, Pamela Laster of Augusta, Joan Sparks of Augusta, Jimmie Flake of North Augusta, Becky Moore of Hephzibah, Carolyn Barefield of Augusta, and Virginia Beasley of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are being held.
