Linda J. Bishop

Linda J. Bishop, 81, entered into rest Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was a native of Savannah and a longtime resident of Burke County. She retired from Gracewood Hospital after 27 years of service. Linda was a member of Kemp Ebenezer Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Bishop.

She is survived by three children, Christie McElmurray (Richard) of Hephzibah, Michael Bishop (Patrice) of Waynesboro, and Chris Bishop (Tonya) of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Logan McElmurray (Nyci), Cody McElmurray (Brittany), Brittany Marks (Trent), Brandi Newman (Russell), Joshua Bishop (Baylee), and Tori Bishop; and five great grandchildren, Zaylee Woods-Newman, Harrison McElmurray, Amelia McElmurray, Rhett Newman, and Stetson McElmurray.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, February 9 in the funeral home chapel with Logan McElmurray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be Logan McElmurray, Cody McElmurray, Joshua Bishop, Trent Marks, and Russell Newman.
