Waynesboro, GA - Lillian Hazel Cooper Ammerman, 93, entered into rest Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Brentwood Terrace Health Center.She was born in Burke County, GA on September 3, 1915 to the late George Harold Cooper and Irene Bargeron Cooper.She lived in this area most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro for many years.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Lively Katibah, her brother, John Thomas Cooper, and her sister, Winnie Louise Cooper McKinney.
She is survived by a grandson, John Tyler Katibah (Lisa) of Hilo, Hawaii, great-granddaughter, Hannah Katibah; great-grandson, Matthew Katibah; granddaughter, Katherine Jean Lograsso (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL; great-granddaughter, Taylor Lograsso; son-in-law, Dr. Eugene W. Katibah (Eileen) of Jacksonville, FL; nephew, Robert H. McKinney of Waynesboro; and several other nieces, nephews, and family members.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45pm, Saturday, at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. G. Al Wright, Jr. officiating.Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Flowers are being accepted but, if so desired, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
