Waynesboro, GA – Laura Braswell Henry, age 83, of Waynesboro, entered into rest at her home on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
A native of Burke County, she was born on October 7, 1935 to the late James C. Braswell and Lillian Trader Braswell. Laura retired from First National Bank after over 50 years of dedicated service and was a long time member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dave Henry; four children, Angie Kelley (John) of Young Harris, Ellen Phillips (Bob) of Waynesboro, David Henry, Jr. (Michele) of Mineral, Virginia, and Stephen Henry (Shelley) of Richmond Hill; 11 grandchildren, Christy McClure (Jamie), John Kelley, Jr. (Ashley), Joshua Kelley (Katherine), Charles Kelley (Cassie), Laura Kathryn Kelley, Caroline Kelley, Michael Bob Phillips (Heather), Ryan Phillips, Shane Henry, Amber Owens (Josh), and Lee Henry (Sarah), and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James C. Braswell, Jr. and his son, Jimmy. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lydia Caroline Kelley and a grandson, Stephen Michael Henry.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wes Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
