Larry Turner

Larry Turner, 77, entered into rest Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born in Missouri to the late Joetta Harris and has been a longtime resident of Hortense, GA. He was a retired truck driver, an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed working on cars. He loved planting a garden and taking care of his fighting roosters. Larry was a devout Christian having received Jesus at the age of 27 and ever since he has witnessed his faith in the Lord everywhere he went. He attended an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, People’s Liberty, where Matt Comer was the Pastor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, a sister, Linda Hungerford.

He is survived by his four sons, David Turner of Bainbridge, GA, Michael Turner (Tammie) of Folkston, GA, Larry Turner (Carol) of Woodbine, GA, and Luke Turner of Harrison, OH; a daughter, Grace Perry (Matthew) of Girard, GA; ten grandchildren, Tiffany, Kaylee, Alyssa, Ryan, Miranda, Nicholas, Gage, Lauren, Lane, and Marshall; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Pamela Pullen (Pete) of Oakhurst, OK.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, January 30 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Stephen Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Girard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
