Larry Day

Larry Day, 82, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Comfort Creek Nursing Home and Rehabilitation C enter in Wadley, GA. He was born on January 28, 1942, in Savannah, GA. Larry served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was good at baseball, and loved to fish. He was of the Baptist faith. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Day Skinner, his wife, Virginia Barefield Day; and brother, Billy Skinner. He is survived by his sister, Melinda S. Peebles of Sardis; cousin, Norma Dickey of Waynesboro; nephew, Daniel Peebles of Martinez; niece, Samantha Whitehead of Sardis; as well as many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family request that any memorial contributions be made to a Veteran Organization of your choice.
