Mr. L. Chason Josey
Mr. Chason Josey 71, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Josey was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1963 and retired from Augusta Newsprint in 2007 after 41 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially loved to hunt hogs. He was a member of the Spring Creek Hunting Club in Louisville, Ga. He had a passion for gardening and farming and could always be found on his tractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Harley and Mrs. Francis Josey.
Surviving are, his wife, Linda T. Josey of Hephzibah, his children, Brian Josey of Hephzibah, Troy Josey and wife Kristen of Georgia, Michael Josey and his fianc Christy Pittman of Thomson and Brandi Bentley and husband Tony of Roberta, Ga.; his brother, Wayne Josey and wife Linda of Hephzibah; his grandchildren, Hunter, Jona, Emily, Olivia, Tyler, Hannah, Rebekah, Micah, Jacob and Caitie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Deloach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Sharp officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society or Charity of Choice.
