Girard, GA – Kimberly Snell Godbee, 55, devoted wife, mother, and nana, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. She was born on September 23, 1962, in Norwich, NY and was a long time resident of Burke County. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Kim had a passion and talent for event planning, decorating, baking, and crafting. She devoted her life to helping take care of her family whenever they needed her but most importantly and above all, she lived to make sure her grandson had the best life possible.
She is survived by her husband, David Godbee of Girard; two daughters, Erica Valois of Hephzibah and Heather Glover (Joseph) of Charleston, SC; her parents, Robert and Priscilla Snell; four brothers, Robert Snell, Jr. (Tabitha) of Fairhope, AL, Russell Snell of Girard, Mark Snell of Girard, and DJ Snell of Keysville; a grandson, Jackson Godbee of Hephzibah; several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and other loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday, May 18 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 1pm Saturday, May 19 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Snell, Jr., Cameron Snell, Joshua Snell, Mark Snell, Jr., Damien Pounders, Trever Hunter, Kiley Hunter, and Dalton Hunter. The family would like everyone to wear pink in honor of Kim's memory.
Remembrances may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
