Kimberly Driver Sanders

Kimberly Driver Sanders, 55, entered into rest Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was born in Thomson and was a longtime resident of Burke County. She was a graduate of Thomson High School and Aiken Tech, where she received a degree in nursing. Kim was a Registered Nurse at University Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Sanders; her parents, Stanley and Sandra Driver; a brother, Stan Driver, Jr. (Donna); two sisters, Pam Edwards and Daphne Tuten (Scott); three step children, Rusty Lee Sanders (Kristin), Christopher Nicholas “Nick” Sanders (Donna) and Jacob Daniels “JD” Sanders (Kristin); eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, June1 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Friday, June 2 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steve Matthews, Earl Bradley, Willie Jordan, Richard Dixon, Isaiah Love, and Lorenzo Terry.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
