Karl "Van" Zeigler

Karl "Van" Zeigler, 60, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Mansfield Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held in Arlington, TX at Moore Funeral Home on August 2, 2014. A Graveside Service will be held in Sardis, GA at Sardis Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10 am. Rev. Bill King along with Mr. Stan Hillis will be officiating. A reception will follow the service at Sardis Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Van was born November 8, 1953 to Thurman and Doris Zeigler in Waynesboro, GA. He grew up in Sardis. Van graduated with a degree in accounting from Georgia Southern University. He spent most of his career as a wholesale grocery buyer in Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas. He retired in 1996 and has lived in Cedar Hill, Texas since 2000. Van was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Dean Zeigler, and his brother, Albert "Glenn" Zeigler.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Brigham Zeigler; brother, Brett Zeigler and wife Diane; nephew, Brett Zeigler II and wife Tiffany; niece, Amanda Zeigler Page and husband Jon; and nieces, Elise Zeigler and Naomi Zeigler.
