Judith Lee Padgett

Judith Lee Padgett (Saunders), affectionately known as Judy, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Waynesboro, GA, at the age of 82. Born on March 28, 1942, she was a native and longtime resident of Augusta before moving to Waynesboro with the love of her life to a place lovingly called Padgett’s Farm. A place she was so proud to call home and welcome and entertained family and friends both near and far.

Judy’s life was marked by a profound dedication to her family and an unwavering faith. She was married to her devoted husband, Leslie O’Neal Padgett, for nearly 65 years. Throughout their marriage, she was a pillar of support, not only to her husband but also to their four children and their spouses: Rhonda Salemi (Jeff), Bobby Padgett (Lisa), Renee Burke (Steve), and Traci Reeves (Fred). Her family grew to include 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Billie Saunders, and her brother, Bruce Saunders. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by her family and all who knew her.

In addition to her family life, Judy was known for her compassionate spirit and was a friend to many. Her role as a prayer warrior reflected her strong faith and commitment to the well-being of others. She was a member of Living Faith Church. Judy also enjoyed shopping, always on the lookout for the best sales, which was one of her favorite hobbies.

Judy was not only a wife, mother, and grandmother, but she and Leslie have also built an International Global business with the Juice Plus company for over 40 years, positively impacting the health and wellness of countless lives.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Friday, August 9th with Memorial Services honoring her life following at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chuck Stotler officiating. The family invites all who knew Judy to join them in celebrating her remarkable life.
