Juanita Cullen Elliott, 87, entered into rest Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Elliott was a native and lifelong resident of Sardis. She was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church and was a teacher's aide at SGA for many years. Late in life, her passion was spending time with her grandchildren, compassionately known to them as "Neetnee".
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt A. and Ida Lee Cullen; her husband, Norman A. Elliott, Sr.; her daughter, Donna Kay Robinson and her son in law, Mike Robinson; her brothers and sisters, Petsey Cullen, Billy Cullen, Gladys Scott, Deana Muns, Lucille Reddick, and Francis DeLaigle.
Surviving are her son, Norman A. Elliott Jr.; her grandchildren, Ginger R. Bridgers and husband Jay, Elliott Robinson and wife Rachael, and Emily Oglesby and husband Bobby; her great grandchildren, Jackson Oliver, Tyler Bridgers, Grant Robinson, Carter Robinson, and Molly Kay Robinson; her great great grandchild, Jayson Tyler Bridgers; her brother, Thomas Cullen; and her sisters, Bernice Reid, Hazel Bennett, Jackie Boyles and Geraldine Stokes.
Funeral Services will be 2:30pm Sunday, March 5, 2017, in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steve Sirmons and Reverend Janet Odegaard officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marks Cemetery in Sardis, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Active Pallbearers will be Chip Dixon, John Finley, Bobby DeLaigle, Charlie DeLaigle, Ricky Elliott, and Don Reeves.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Hillis, Grady Dixon, Grady Mobley, Ray Chandler, Roy Chandler, and Al Smith.
