Juanita Bargeron Kennedy

Sardis, GA - Juanita Bargeron Kennedy, 90 years old, entered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Brentwood Terrace Health Center.She was born to the late Malcolm M. Bargeron and Janie McNorrill Bargeron on October 17, 1920 in Richmond County; however, she was a life-long resident of Burke County.She was a homemaker.She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in which she was very involved; member of the Homemakers Sunday School Class, Hardy Circle Women's Missionary Union, Sunbeams' teacher for seventeen years, always volunteered for Vacation Bible School as a teacher of the Beginner's Class.She was a supporter of the Georgia Baptist Children's Home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Kennedy, and brother, Albert Eugene Bargeron.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Maxwell B. Kennedy (Jean) of Sardis and Craig W. Kennedy, Sr. (Sharon) of Sardis; one sister, Marian Claudia Bargeron of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Jessica L. Huff (Chuck), Nina M. Kennedy, Craig W. Kennedy, Jr. (Karla), Patrick C. Kennedy (Kristy), and Claudia Kennedy Shepherd (Vance); two great-grandchildren, Chelsea Huff and Kristofer Huff; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Sardis Baptist Church.Rev. Doug Couch will officiate and Rev. Ken Nichols will assist.Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Henry Cleckley Reddick, Jut Wynne, Roy Chandler, Franklin Cates, Clinton Roberts, Kristofer Huff, Tracy Walker, and Toby Lovett.The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service and at the cemetery immediately following the committal service.
