Joyce Taylor Kitchens

October 24, 1944 — December 18, 2014

Hephzibah, GA- Joyce Taylor Kitchens, 70, Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed into God's hands on December 18, 2014. She was a shining example of faith and determination. For 18 years she proudly drove a school bus for the Richmond County School System. She was an active and founding member of Miracle Baptist Church. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Kitchens; her daughter, Evelyn James; and her grandson, "Lil" Ray James. She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Woolard (Michael) and Michelle Loehne; 2 sons, Bill Kitchens (Reesa) and John Kitchens, all of Hephzibah; 10 grandchildren, Timmy James, Jennifer Schmidt, Cassandra Kersey, Tamara Coleman, Christina Wilson, James Kitchens, Lauren Kitchens, John Thomas Kitchens, Timothy Kitchens, and Becky Zipperer; 23 great grandchildren; and many other family members. Visitation will be from 2-3pm Saturday, December 20 at Miracle Baptist Church with the funeral service starting at 3pm. Rev. John Bartlett will officiate.
