Jones Milledge "Scrap" Gresham, 78, entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2020. He was born on October 18, 1942, in Burke County, Georgia, to the late Phil J. and Mary Tomlin Gresham. Scrap was a very selfless person, who never met a stranger. He enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture, working in the yard, and camping. He served in the Army National Guard. He was an active member of Green's Cut United Methodist Church and would do whatever they asked of him because he loved the church. Scrap was a wonderful loving husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed by those who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Lambert.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Peggy Gresham; son, Jones Mark Gresham (Candy) of Evans; daughter, Jodie Lynn Davis (Tony) of Warrenville, SC; granddaughters, Lyndsey Gresham and Ally Gresham both of Evans, Taylor Davis and Lauren Davis both of Warrenville, SC; grandsons, Jones Mark Gresham, Jr., and Parker Gresham both of Evans, Nicholas Carver of Warrenville, SC; brothers,Phil Gresham (Shelva) of Albany, and Joby Gresham (Carol Ann) of Waynesboro; sisters, Sylvia Kavanaugh (Bill) of Evans, and Debbie Babb (Cliff) of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring Scrap's life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Green's Cut United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jerry Sharpe officiating.
