John Thomas Parrish, 41 of Brusly, Louisiana departed this life on Sunday, March 01, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Parrish was born June 18, 1973 in Richmond Co., Georgia and was a native of Burke Co., Georgia but resided in Brusly, Louisiana for the past several years with his fianc and son.
He is survived by his heart & soul his baby son John Kasen Parrish, the love of his life and fianc Pamela Barrilleaux and stepdaughter Kayla Boswell all of Brusly, Louisiana. His mother Ellen F. Swint of Waynesboro, Georgia, a brother Ronnie Below of Waynesboro, Georgia, two sisters June Johnson (Ernest) of Sardis, Georgia & Crystal Weeks (Gary) of Girard, Georgia. Six nephews Christopher Parrish, Ray Johnson, Kolton Weeks, Kevin Weeks, Kyle Weeks & Matthew Below and five nieces Nicole James, Brooke Weeks, Kayla Weeks, Heather Parrish & Amanda Johnson and several great nieces & nephews. The family of his fiance and future mother & father-in-law Mickey & Donna Hunt, and future grandparents-in-law Alvin & Nelwyn Courtney of Brusly, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father John Larry Parrish of Sardis, Georgia, his stepfather Clarence Swint of Waynesboro, Georgia, a nephew Basil Galamb and two nieces Hope & Faith Galamb all of McBean, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Parrish, Ray Johnson, Gary Murdock, Tommy Windham Jr., James Tobias, Jeremy Johns, Carl Grant, Sammy Williams & Chuck Miller.
The family received friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Saturday, March 07, 2015 at DeLoach McKerley Funeral Home, 842 North Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA 30830.
Funeral services were held at 4 PM Sunday, March 08, 2015 at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Johnson officiating followed by interment at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.
