Waynesboro, GA - John Howell Daniel, Jr., 68, entered into rest Thursday, September 04, 2008, at his home.He was born December 5, 1939 in Burke County to the late John H. Daniel, Sr. and Mary Pearl Holland Daniel.Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Proctor & Gamble.He was a charter member and deacon of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Woodmen of the World.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Alderman and Rev. Wes Lawson officiating.Interment services will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro.Pallbearers will be Ronald Daniel, Carey Daniel, Marty Daniel, Mark Daniel, Adam Daniel, Bruce Griffin, and Fielding McCrary.Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.

Family members include his three brothers, Bycel Daniel (Suzanne) of Hephzibah, Thomas E. Daniel (Elaine) of Waynesboro, and Larry W. Daniel (Glennis) of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosemont "Vision" Building Fund, 710 Stone Avenue, Waynesboro, GA 30830.
