Joan Lorraine Neidert Kesterton, 83, entered into rest on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Mrs. Kesterton was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 11, 1931. Mrs. Kesterton has been a resident of Burke County since 1985. Mrs. Kesterton was married to her loving husband, Roger W. Kesterton of Niagara Falls for 54 years before his passing in 2005. She was known as a loving wife and mother, who loved all of God's creatures.

She is survived by her sons, David R. Kesterton of Waynesboro, Donald K. Kesterton of Waynesboro, James B. Kesterton of Lexington, KY, and Charles P. Carter of Orlando, FL; daughters, Marsha C. Spires of Waynesboro and Donna M. Gerhardt of Brooklet, GA; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Gordon P. Neidert of Phoenix, AZ.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 20 from 6-8pm at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held 1pm Tuesday, April 21 at Burke Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating.
