Jimmie Dale Cooper

May 24, 1937 — July 20, 2020

Jimmie Dale Cooper, 83, entered into rest Monday, July 20, 2020. He was born in Yawkey, WV to the late Marie and Clyde Cooper. He worked on the railroad for 42 years and was a member of the UTU railroad union. He was a member of the Flowing Wells Worship Center in Augusta. Jimmie loved listening to gospel music and loved when his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren visited with him. He will be dearly missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, two sons, Dale and Larry Cooper; a granddaughter, Alicia Cooper; a brother, Bobby Cooper; and a sister, Sylvia Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruth Cooper; four sons, Mark, James, Steven (Lisa), and Philip (Cathy) Cooper; a daughter, Sandi (Gary) Palinkas; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held 2:00pm Thursday, July 23.
