Jessie Lee Roberson, the son of the late John Sr. and Annie Lou Roberson was born on July 27, 1939, in Munnerlyn, Georgia.
Jessie Roberson worked at Wielder Industries and retired from Case Paper International in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Supervisor for over 30 years. He retired and moved back to Perkins, Georgia in 2001 where he farmed and sold vegetables.
Jessie Roberson was truly a strong, trustworthy, and honest man with great character. He stood proud and confident in whom he was, never walked around with a stretched out hand.He worked hard every day to provide for his family. He enjoyed life and did what he could. A protector of those he loved, giving thanks for what he had to the good Lord. He knew life was hard and always worked ten times harder. Jessie never gave up and always remained a strong figure in everyone's lives.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Roberson of 54 years of marriage; two children, Christopher Roberson and Patricia Branison; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Carlton Branison; one sister, Lillian Williams, one brother, Charles Roberson; and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be 12:00pm Monday, January 9, 2017 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
