Jesse Allen Loren

Jesse Allen Loren, 82, entered into rest Monday, August 28, 2023. Jesse, known as Skip, was born July 21, 1941 in Augusta to the late Jesse and Ruth Loren. As a young child, his parents relocated to Wilmington, NC. Skip attended school and Junior college at Cape Fear and at 21 years of age he joined the military. He was sent to Fort Gordon to MP School then returned to Fort Bragg. Later in his military career, he signed up for Jump School and went to Fort Benning. After he completed his training, he went back to Fort Bragg and was there until his discharge. In 1969, he returned to Augusta. He worked as an Equipment Control officer in Plant Operations at Gracewood Hospital and at the Medical College of Georgia in the plumbing department. Skip met and married Arnoldine Russell and moved to Hephzibah, where he remained until his death. He joined the Georgia National Guard, earning the rank as SGT and was in the Army reserve.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Arnoldine Loren; three daughters, Debra Hobbs of Wilmington, NC, Jacky McBride of Waynesboro, and Brenda Hillis of Waynesboro; three granddaughters; one grandson; eight great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, September 30 at Hephzibah United Methodist Church.
