Jerry A. Fennell

Jerry A. Fennell, 69, of Sardis, GA, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the Keysville Nursing Home. Jerry was born on November 13, 1950, to the late Roy and Fannie Lou Fennell. He retired early from the U.S. Navy after 18 years of service. Prior to entering the Navy, he was a police officer for the City of Waynesboro. Jerry loved to fish and enjoyed taking daily rides around Sardis and Sylvania. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Ray Fennell.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Alice L. Fennell of Sardis; brother, Roy Wayne Fennell of Swainsboro; brother-in-law, Don Cowart (Geneva) of Sardis; nieces, Jeanann Bennett (Mike) of Jacksonville, FL, Wendy Cowart Davis (Greg), and Sydney Skinner (Jason) both of Sardis; nephew, Roy Wayne Fennell, Jr. of Swainsboro; and fur babies, Cisco and Ms. Kitty.
Graveside services with Military honors will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 30 at Burke Memorial Gardens.
