Mr. Jeral F. "Buddy" Williford, 83, entered into rest Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Keysville Nursing Home. Buddy was born in Dublin, GA, on August 23, 1936 to the late Tom Watson and Hattie Purvis Williford. He was a longtime resident of Waynesboro, and retired from Samson's Manufacturing after a number of years of service.
Buddy was a hard worker, he especially enjoyed keeping his yard very beautiful. He enjoyed music and played the drums when he was younger. Buddy loved his family, it delighted his heart to take care of each and every one of them. Buddy also loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a dedicated member of Rosemont Baptist Church, where he formerly served as a member of the Usher and Property committees. Buddy will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Patricia Williford: sons, Tommy Williford (Terri) and Robert Williford (Diane), both of Waynesboro; brother, Clayton Williford (Helen) of Newnan, GA; sister, Frances Kennedy of Wadley, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Schadel (Dana) of Gainesville, GA, Nichole Gresham (Brad) of Waynesboro, Jamey Williford of Waynesboro, Tiffani Stewart (Aaron) of Waynesboro, Maggie Robinson (Mathew) of Covington, GA, Julie Sapp (Matt) of Newnan, GA; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Schadel, Alex Schadel, Topher Schadel, Palmer Gresham, Sawyer Gresham, Maddox Stewart, Easton Stewart, Mason Williford, Hallie Robinson, Emmie Robinson, Hudson Sapp, and Joey Sapp.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Rosemont Baptist Church with the Reverend Wes Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons and grandson-in-laws. Honorary Pallbearers will be the current members of Rosemont Baptist Church's Usher and Property Committees.
