Jenny Perry Beauman

January 29, 1958 — February 15, 2024

Jennifer “Jenny” Beauman, 66, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Burke County who dedicated over 35 years of her life to teaching in its community. She touched the hearts and minds of generations of students with her unwavering commitment and genuine care. She loved seeing, speaking, and laughing with all her students, past and present, and they loved her. She could recall all of them and their family members she taught. She had a loving and funny story about every one of them.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Beauman Sr., and her parents Lee Issac and Sadie Chance Perry, whom she loved and spoke of often. She is survived by her “daughter” Beau Beauman, who she tolerated only on her best days, and her favorite son, Channing Beauman. She also leaves behind a much-beloved daughter-in-law, Carson Beauman, and two “adopted” sons, Jake Allen and Todd Dickey, who, by most of her accounts, were actually her favorite sons, perhaps only surpassed by the occasional family pet.

All joking aside—which rarely occurred in her family—you could scour the Earth and never find another soul as fair-minded, gentle, caring, intelligent, and selfless. She was a once-in-a-lifetime human, and it makes you sad she only had one life to give as she would happily give many to help others. Her company and laughter will be missed dearly. Today is a little colder for her not being in it, but if you are going to cry, do so with laughter as she did.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, February 19 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, February 20 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Quick, Jackson Oliver, Rodney Belk, Adam King, Gage Belk, and Landon Sizemore.

Honorary Pallbearers will be former students of Faith Christian Academy.
