Jason Dexter Quick, 53, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was a native and lifelong resident of Waynesboro. Jason was currently a 34 year employee with E-Z-GO in Augusta as a Custom Fabricator. He was the founding member and Captain of the 32nd Georgia Artillery. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolutionary War and the Briar Creek SAR in Sylvania, where he was Captain. Jason was extremely active in the Southeast reenactments, so active he kept his cannon in his backyard. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Quick; and his daughter, Haven Quick.
Surviving are his wife, Andrea Dotson Quick; three sons, Dillon C. Quick (Mary), Cameron R. Quick, and Walker E. Quick; his mother, Joyce Quick; two sisters, Jalina Q. Curtis (Mark) and Jodi Quick (Chuck); his grandchild, Maggie Quick; a special friend, Mickey Joyner all of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 6 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Wigley officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Joyner, Sid Cox, Brian McClain, Steve Burke, Mickey Joiner, Jerry Barnes, Loyd Allen, and Ollie Kelly.
