Janie Cobb Pitzer

July 31, 1925 — August 13, 2008

Waynesboro, GA - Mrs. Janie Pitzer, affectionately known as "Granny", 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at University Hospital after an extended illness.She was born on July 31, 1925 to the late Thadius Austin and Anne Jane Thompson Cobb.She had lived in this area since the late 1980's.She was a member of Botsford Baptist Church.

Family members include her husband of 54 years, Dick Pitzer of Waynesboro; son, Raymond NeSmith (Rose) of Fletcher, NC; daughter, Diane Miles of Waynesville, NC; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Botsford Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating.Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
