Augusta, GA -Mrs. Jane Ward Rogers, 55, entered into rest Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro on January 3, 1961, to the late Leonard W. Parker and Daisy Ruth Parker Andrews. She was a lifelong resident of Richmond County and worked for many years at Richmond County Transit. Mrs. Rogers was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darryl Lance Ward.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Rogers; 3 children, Ricky Allen Lucas (Chris) of Martinez, Michael Steven Lucas (Maxine) of Hephzibah, and Melissa Ann Price (Shawn) of Augusta; 3 stepchildren, William Clinton Rogers of Augusta, Christopher Wayne Rogers of Augusta, and Crystal Elaine Rogers of Martinez; 6 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 5 siblings, Maria Bates (Nick) of Hephzibah, Patricia Ann Bryant of Portal, Michael Parker of Hephzibah, Janel O'Dell (John) of Martinez, and Jolee Edwards (Ephriam) of Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, May 6 at South Haven Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 7 at South Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Rochester officiating. Burial will follow at Hephzibah-Vance Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tate Wagner, Les Lamb, Robert Walker, Robert Atkinson, Jimmy Dixon, and Dylan Price.
