Mr. James Wallace Quick, 76, entered into rest Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County and attended the Waynesboro Church of God. He was retired from Louisiana Pacific and FPL Foods. Mr. Wallace was a US Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Ralph Quick; two brothers, Sterling Quick and Ray Quick; and his precious granddaughter, Haven Quick.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Quick; a son, Jason Quick (Andrea) of Waynesboro; two daughters, Jalina Curtis (Mark) of Sardis and Jodi Quick (Chuck) of Waynesboro; three sisters, Joyce Braswell of Waynesboro, Rachel Ross of Hephzibah, and Angie Doyle of Sylvania; six grandchildren, Dillon Quick, Cameron Quick, Walker Quick, Kristen Curtis, Jacob Curtis, and Abby Joyner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm -8:00 pm Thursday, January 19 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday, January 20 at the Waynesboro Church of God with Rev. Matt Wigley officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
