James W. "Jimmy" Odom Jr., 65, entered into rest Friday, February 28, 2020, in Waynesboro, Georgia. Jimmy was born and raised in Burke County and was currently a resident of Hephzibah. Jimmy was a 1974 graduate from Waynesboro High School and was a route salesman for TruFlame Gas Company. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, prided himself with his mechanic talents "If he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed"; but his number one joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James William Odom, Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Connie J. Odom of Hephzibah; his sons, Michael James Odom of Hephzibah, Christopher Neal Odom of Hephzibah, and Joshua Edwin Odom of Baxley; his mother, Juanita W. Odom of Hephzibah; his brother, Tony Odom of Augusta; his sisters, Shelia Jenkins (Les) of Sardis, Michelle Woods (Joe) of Hephzibah; his grandchildren, Issac Roy Odom, C.J. Odom, Sophie Lucas, and Jackson Odom.
A Memorial Services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Lairsey officiating.
