James Camden “Cam” Rowland, 38, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 22, 2025. A cherished native and lifelong resident of Richmond County, Cam was baptized at the age of 12 at National Hills Baptist Church. He later pursued his passion for technology.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother, Phyllis Rowland of Grovetown, whose steadfast love was a constant throughout his life. His memory lives in the hearts of his beloved aunts and uncles: Peggy Gresham of Waynesboro, Alice Till of Grovetown, Ellen and Wayne Elder of Greenville, Shirley and James Rowland of Macon, and Carol and Bill Hall of Grovetown. Also cherishing his memory is a host of cousins who held him dear.
A loyal and thoughtful friend, known for his quiet humor, generous spirit, and genuine care for those around him. He shared countless laughs and meaningful conversations with friends over his favorite meals—especially Mexican food, which he loved. His close friends, who became like family over the years, will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives through his presence, loyalty, and shared traditions.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Franklin Rowland, and his brother, Stephen Floyd Edenfield. Though gone too soon, Cam’s legacy of kindness, warmth, and quiet strength continues to touch the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, April 3 at Burke Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Sharpe officiating.
Remembrances can be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
