James L. Quick “Cheyenne” “Red Eye”, 76, entered into rest Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born in Millen to the late Henry and Christine Beasley Quick, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of Burke County. He was the retired owner operator of Quick Transport and a member of The Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Quick; two sons, James L. Quick, Jr. and Keith Redd; and a brother, Henry Quick, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Mark Quick (Dianne) of Waynesboro, David Redd of Sardis, Steven Quick (Crystal) of Hephzibah, Troy Redd of Sardis, Bruce Redd of Sardis, Michelle Quick of Waynesboro, Christopher Quick of Waynesboro, Richard Quick of Augusta, and Tina Q. Moses of Augusta; a brother, Steve Quick of Wrens; a sister, Peggy Q. Stewart (Lonnie) of Wrens, eight grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, April 21 at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Friday, April 22 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Wigley officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the Waynesboro Church of God.
