James “Jimmy” Randall Mills, 70, entered into rest Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was born in Augusta to the late James Mills and Glenda Mills Free and was a longtime resident of Augusta before moving to Burke County. He retired from International Paper after 40 years of service. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He attended Green’s Cut Methodist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Seldon Free; and a brother, Calvin Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Mills; two sons, James Mills (Nancy) of Waynesboro and Andrew Randall Mills (Melissa) of Waynesboro; his mother, Glenda Free of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Jozlyn Morgan, Andrea Mills, Andrew “AJ” Mills, Jade Mills, Mason Mills, Madison Mills (Josh Wyatt), and Maxon Mills; and one great grandson, Kade Wyatt.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00am Monday, January 20 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Matt Wigley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
