Hugh Edward Saxon, Jr

Hugh Edward (Eddie) Saxon Jr, 79, of Deltona, FL, was called home to his Lord, parents, wife, and a son on 29 May 2023. He was a son of the late Hugh and Clifford Saxon and a brother of Glynn Saxon and Elaine Day.

Eddie was born on 29 April 1944, in Millen, GA and was proud to call Burke County home for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed living for God, visiting with friends and family during his many trips back to the Midville area and had hoped of one day retiring in Burke County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Susan Saxon; his son, Anthony Todd Saxon; and daughter-in-law, Jessica Saxon.

Eddie is survived by three children, Hugh Edward (Tripp) Saxon III of Columbus, Tracy Paul Saxon of Grovetown, and Tiffany Susan Amengual of Deltona; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, 24 June 2023, at Midville First Baptist Church with Terry Quick officiating.

Interment will follow at Midville City Cemetery.
