Hilton A. Turner

Waynesboro, GA- Hilton A. "Boe" Turner, 71, entered into rest Sunday, January 5, 2014. He was born in Augusta on November 30, 1942 to the late Buck Turner and Annie Kent Turner. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He worked for Modern Welding for many years. Boe played in several gospel groups and performed in various churches. He was a loving father and husband who will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Huddleston Turner; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.

He is survived by 5 children, Tammy Black (Dennis) of Hephzibah, Diane Turner of Hephzibah, Chris Turner (Jessica) of Seale, AL, Gene Burke (Tina) of Beech Island, SC, and Bobby Burke of Harlem, GA; several step children; 12 grandchildren; several step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Turner of Santee, SC; 3 sisters, Cornelia Kitchens of Grovetown, GA, Marion Briggs of Thomson, GA, and Jacquelyn Hallman of AL; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 363 Pine Log Rd., Beech Island, SC 29842. Pastor David Hixon will officiate.
