Waynesboro, GA - Harvey Loren, Jr., 64, entered into rest Thursday, May 6, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family.He was a life-long resident of Waynesboro and a local businessman for many years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Pearlie Loren; brother, James Loren; and two sisters, Vivian Ledbetter and Sarah Newman.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jean Mobley Loren; two daughters, Teresa Stills and Jeneen Loren; three grandsons, Anthony Edward Lewis, Jr., Nicholas Foley, and Hunter Foley; and his brother, Raymond Loren; all of Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9, at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.Rev. Wayne Dixon will officiate.Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be Raymond Edenfield, Gary Flakes, Russell Flakes, Danny Quick, Chad Collins, Andy McCafferty, Tim Stills, and Steve Blackburn.Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Loren's grandsons, Christopher Shane Bennett, and Joey Conway.
