Eddie was retired Director of Maintenance at the Burke County Road Department.

A member of Botsford Baptist Church, he also attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Girard.

Eddie loved his family and served them well. He was a man of few words but expressed his love in kindness and deeds. He could fix anything  and his attention to detail was first-rate. He made whatever he was working on run right and look “purdy”. He adored his wife of 54 years with the purest sacrificial love. Eddie was also a great example of how a husband should love his wife and living life well. He was an exceptional man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Codey Taylor, T.J. Taylor, Cameron Chalker, Brandon Walden, Dylan Reeves, and nephew, Carrick Jones.

The family would like to thank Regency Hospice angels, Jill Posey, Leigh Alexander, Melissa McGath and Chasity Hamilton and a special thanks to Rosa Anderson, who lovingly held his hand as he crossed over into glory.
