Waynesboro, GA - Harold W. Hendrickson passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.Harold was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 18, 1924, son of the late Jon Henriksson and Agnes Bauer (Nee: Kinnon).He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Mattie.

Harold moved to Racine, WI in 1931 and graduated from William Horlick High School Class of 1942.He went into the United States Army in 1943 and served as a medical corpsman in Italy.After the war he attended Marquette University, majoring in Business Administration and Accounting.On August 14, 1948, he married Marion Begekis and had a family of one girl and four boys.Harold worked 26 years for Walker Mfg. Company as plant controller and retired in 1984 in Seward, NE. He and Marion loved camping and spent the next three years traveling around the United States, living out of their camper.They finally settled in Ellenton, FL for the next 20 years, and then moved to Waynesboro.

Harold is survived by his wife, Marion; his daughter, Nancy Strauss; his sons, Neil (June) Hendrickson, Tom (Kim) Hendrickson, Larry Hendrickson, and Harry (Marilyn) Hendrickson; his grandchildren, Chrissy (Toby) Johnston, Stefanie (Zeke) Thompkins, Sean Strauss, Angie Hendrickson, Ryan (Jennifer) Hendrickson, John (Izzy) Hendrickson; and his two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Reese Johnston.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.
