Waynesboro, GA – Hal Herrington, 61, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015
Survivors include his parents, Harold L. and Myrtle Herrington, Sr.; brothers, Rex Herrington and Steve Herrington; sister, Dianne H. Quick (Mark); nieces, Shelby Quick, Ashley Herrington and Ciara Howard; and a nephew, David Herrington.
His life as a Radio Disc Jockey began in 1973 spinning the tunes of Classic Country at WBRO and then moving on to stations which included WJAT, WAUG, WGUS, WCKJ, WBBQ, WAFJ, WRXR, WTHO and Sunny 105. He was a member of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, The Lions Club and First United Methodist Church.
Hal was a humble and giving person who deeply loved his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Monday, December 7 at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 8 at the chapel of DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Reverend Eryn Eubanks and Reverend Craig Hutto will officiate. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
