Mr. Gerald Franklin (Jerry) Gaiser, of Burke County, 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. A native of Maysville, Missouri, Jerry was born on February 17, 1937, in Kansas City Missouri to the late Carl Christian and Ethel Margaret Estes Gaiser. He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. He served during the Vietnam War and flew in seven tours of duty. Jerry retired as an E7 Master Sergeant. He moved to Burke County and began work with the Georgia Forestry Commission in which he retired from with 17 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Mary Ann, in their RV and attending to his garden.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Gaiser; his four sons, Gerald Wayne Gaiser (Teresa), William Charles Gaiser, Richard Franklin Gaiser (Gina), and Reese Larry Gaiser (Virginia); seven grandchildren, Jessica Thompson (Clint), Brad Gaiser, Jillian Lanier (Mason), Kristian Gaiser, Joseph Gaiser, Steven Gaiser, and Ryan Gaiser; and two great grandchildren, Alison Gaiser and Caleb Gasier.
He will always be in our hearts and remembered as a loving, dedicated, respectful person to all his family and friends and he will be deeply missed.
Memorial Services will be 7:00 pm Friday, April 26 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
