Floyd "Junior" S. Chandler

Floyd “Junior” S. Chandler, 84, entered into rest July 21, 2022. He was born in Girard to the late Martha Louise and Floyd S. Chandler, Sr. and resided there his whole life. He was a retired farmer and an avid hunter. Junior was a member of Corinth Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Frank Chandler; and a sister, Mary Minor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia C. Chandler; three daughters, Katherine Hamilton (Allan) of Loganville, Ann C. Dixon of Waynesboro, and Brenda Chandler of Girard; a brother, Ray Chandler (Kathryn) of Sardis; a good friend, Dale Oglesby; eight grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, July 24 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Monday, July 25 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Matt Higle officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
