Waynesboro, GA- Exarline Blount Boudreaux "Exie", 87, entered into rest on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Brentwood Terrace Nursing Home. She was born and raised in Waynesboro and for a short time worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company. She married and moved to New Orleans, LA, home of her husband, for 33 years. She loved to sing, play Scrabble, and enjoyed penning quips, which many times were published, in response to magazine articles. Exie was a homemaker and loved her family and did whatever she could for them. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cassie Lee Sikes Blount and Bartow Milledge Blount; her husband, Herman Joseph Boudreaux; and her son, Allan Joseph Boudreaux.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Patricia B. Hansen (Bob) of Florence, SC, Sue B. Allen (Eddie) of Waynesboro, Karen B. Montalbano (Jerry) of Denham Springs, LA, and April B. Flakes (Ricky) of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren, Michelle H. Smith (Clark), Michael Hansen (DeAnna), Mitchell Hansen (Patty), Holly H. McKinney, Kellie A. Folker, Jason Montalbano, Jasmine M. Nicholson (Eddie), Justin Montalbano, Chris Flakes, and Adam Flakes; 10 great grandchildren, Clay Smith, Courtney Smith, Kristen Smith, Kinsee Smith, Madison Hansen, Lauren McKinney, Jessica Taylor, Madison Folker, Jaydn Nicholson, and Logan Nicholson; and a sister, Elizabeth "Lib" B. McKenzie of Pascagoula, MS.
A Rosary Service was Monday, June 4 at 6pm at the funeral home with visitation following from 6:30-8.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, June 5 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Patrick Otor officiating. Interment followed at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Lester Smith, Tom Wiedmeier, Chris Flakes, Adam Flakes, Justin Montalbano, and Scott DuMars.
