Evelyn Quick Sprout

Waynesboro, GA – Evelyn Quick Sprout, 91, entered into rest Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Burke Medical Center. She was born in Augusta on May 15, 1923 to the late Stephen James and Annie Mae Bargeron James. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was retired from Samson's Manufacturing. Evelyn enjoyed birdwatching; but, her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, "Red" Hickman; second husband, George Bryant Quick, Sr.; third husband, Audice Sprout; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers.

She is survived by 5 children, Mack Hickman of Waynesboro, Clinton Hickman of Waynesboro, Wanda Quick Ward (Vickie Cutts) of Elberton, GA, David Quick (Sheryl) of Waynesboro, and Jimmy Quick (Yvonne) of Edgefield, SC; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be 2pm Thursday, December 18 at Burke Memorial Gardens with visitation following at the cemetery. Rev. Dan Bowen will officiate.

Flowers are being accepted; however, the family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 1708 Bunting Dr. Suite A, North Augusta, SC 29841.
