Eva Mae Perry

Eva Mae Perry, 86, entered into rest September 3, 2024. She was born in Screven County to the late Daisy Mae and Henry Watson Perryman and has been lifelong resident of Burke County. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church in Girard. Eva enjoyed sewing, fishing, tending to her plants, and cooking cakes and candies for others. She loved getting out and going to different places. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband of 62 years, George B. Perry, Sr.; a sister, Linda Moore; a son-in-law, Michael Harley; and a grandson, Steven Harley.

She is survived by five children, Dorothy P. Lindsey (Darrell) of Millen, Wanda P. Rhodes (Phil) of Millen, Zelphia P. Finch (Wendell) of Sylvania, Daisy P. Harley of Girard, and George B. Perry, Jr. of Girard; six grandchildren, Jeremy Lindsey (Sabrina) of Millen, Brandon Lindsey (Amber) of Portal, Daniel Rhodes (Maegan) of Rincon, Adrian R. McDaniel (Ron) of Statesboro, Brantley Harley (Anna) of Girard, and Perry Finch (Madison) of Sylvania; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Harter (Mack) of Allendale, SC; a brother, Andrew Perryman (Joni) of Washington, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, September 5 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 4:00pm Friday, September 6 at Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Jeremy Lindsey and Rev. John Forrester officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
