Hephzibah, GA - Mrs. Emogene Bickel Hines, age 83, of Hephzibah, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease on Friday, August 5, 2016 at her home.
Born in Webster Springs, West Virginia on July 15, 1933 she was married to her loving husband Emmett H. Hines "Sonny" for 53 years. A longtime resident of Madison, Ohio she graduated from Perry High School in 1951. She went to work at Lake County Hospital East where she worked in the kitchen and as a server. She loved her crafts, painting pictures, crocheting and flowers in her yard on Burns Road. Emogene was known for her fine scorekeeping for her husband at the Little League for 19 years. She enjoyed her love of fishing and camping at the Lake County Rod and Gun Club.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett Hines; three children, Ernie Hines of Painesville, OH, Regina Swisher of Keysville, GA, and Ceresa Kirk of Hephzibah, GA; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Mabel Bickel; three brothers; and one great grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, August 8 at DeLoach-
McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home, 220 East 6th Street,

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 11 at Lake Erie Church of God, 3050 Antioch Road, Perry, OH44081. Her final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
