Emily Miller Dixon

June 22, 1925 — December 5, 2010

Girard, Ga.- Emily Miller Dixon, 85, entered into rest, Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Ray-Dean Black. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dixon; two sons, Raymond Miller Dixon, and Martin Lee Dixon; and her sister, Susie McClellan.

She is survived by four daughters, Betty Lane, of Girard, Peggy Godbee, of Girard, Ruth Reddick, of Sardis, and Ray-Dean Black (Ben), of Waynesboro; daughter-in-law, Lynn Dixon; fourteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the funeral home.

The graveside funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Girard. Rev. Steve Sirmons will officiate.Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers are being accepted, however, memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, P.O. Box 30, Girard, GA. 30426.
