Augusta, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Shelby Simmons, 80, of Augusta, GA, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at University Hospital.
Born in Greenway, AR, she was the daughter of the late Luther C. Glasgow and Ida Bain Glasgow. She was a retired information supervisor at AT&T. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Simmons, grandson, DJ Shelby, six brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Marie) Shelby, Jr. Summerville, SC, Jay (Sandy) Shelby, Waynesboro, GA, daughters, Roxanne Brooks, Greenville, SC, Jamie Shelby, Hephzibah, GA, sister, Louise Smith, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1until 2pm at Hephzibah Funeral Home 2546 Ga Highway 88, Hephzibah, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at 3:30pm in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Travis Shelby, Justin Shelby, Dane Shelby, Jason Shelby, Trevor Bosdell, and Trey Brooks.
