Elizabeth Banks Knight

Elizabeth Banks Knight, 38, entered into rest Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born in Augusta and was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro, GA. She was a graduate of Burke County High School and was a member of First Baptist Church. Liz worked for First National Bank for the past 8 years. She was a loving mother and daughter and focused on being a good mother and raising her son. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Margery and Torbit Banks; and her maternal grandparents, Billie and Williard Lariscy, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Banks Knight; her parents, Molly and Thomas Banks of Waynesboro; a sister, Lariscy Kate Banks of Waynesboro; aunts and uncles, Martin T. Banks III (Dottie) of Augusta, JoAnne Horton of Waynesboro, Daniel R. Banks of Augusta, Brooke Lawn of Sylvania, Lea Anne Greene (Guy) of Sylvania, and Willard H. Lariscy (Holly) of Decatur; and numerous cousins.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00pm Monday, December 04 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Branham officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of the First National Bank.

Remembrances may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
