Waynesboro, GA - Mr. Edward Everett Wilson, Sr. "Ed", age 82, of Waynesboro, entered into rest Friday, August 25, 2017 after an extended illness.

He was born December 1, 1934 in Greyridge, Missouri to the late Arthur Wilson and Verna Gibbs Wilson. Ed lived most of his life in Waynesboro and was a member of Corinth Christian Church near Girard. He retired as a truck driver and retired from the United States Army after twenty years of service.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel "Rennie" Thames Wilson; and a brother in law, Ralph Thames.

Survivors include two sisters in law, Rosa Thames of Davisboro, and Mary Lariscy and her husband Ray of Sylvania ; a special niece, April Dickerson and her husband Randy of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am Monday, August 28, 2017 at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery near Girard. Reverend Margaret Sharpe will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
